The “instant curing” characteristic of Pentens MPU-111 hand-applied polyurea resin is its greatest advantage and also its biggest challenge. Mastering the following “Golden Four-Minute” rule is key to successful application.

1. Before Application: Precise Preparation
All success lies in preparation. Ensure the concrete substrate is solid, dry, and clean. 24 hours before application, place components A and B on-site to stabilize their temperature within the 0°C to 30°C range. Tools (mixer, trowel, bubble roller) must be positioned like surgical instruments, and a team of at least two people should be arranged to handle the upcoming rapid process.

2. During Application: The Decisive Four Minutes
Countdown starts from mixing: 1) Rapid Mixing: After precisely weighing the two components, mix thoroughly with a mechanical mixer for at least 60 seconds. 2)Immediate Application: The material will thicken and generate heat rapidly and must be applied immediately. Adopt a “zone-coverage” strategy: quickly spread the material with a trowel, then immediately use a bubble roller to roll in one direction to eliminate air bubbles. Avoid back-and-forth brushing. 3) Interlayer Bonding: If a second coat is needed, it must be applied while the first coat is still in a slightly tacky “touch-dry” state to ensure chemical fusion between layers.

3. After Application: Patient Curing

The surface may be walkable after drying, but achieving its advertised high strength and wear resistance requires time. Avoid heavy loads and contact with chemicals for 24-48 hours after application, and maintain ventilation.

In summary, the core of using MPU-111 is transforming oneself from a “craftsman” into a “reaction engineer.” Before formal application, be sure to conduct a full-process simulation to personally experience the material’s behavior—this is the best guarantee for success.
